A good signal generator with no caseReview by Tito Tim
Knowing what I do about electronics manufactiring, I bought the assembled version rather than the DIY kit on the assumption that assembled units are usually subjected to some form of "burn-in" testing and calibration procedures that the average hobbyistcould provide for a homemade kit. I was not disappointed with this product; it is well-made and sturdy. I gave 4 stars on quality because....for a few extra dollars, could you not have provided an equally sturdy enclosure for the signal generator? It is, after all, a piece of test equipment, and the circuitry should be protected, considering that most of our test benches are a friggin' mess anyway. At least make the case an option we could buy for $7 to $10. Not all of us have access to a 3D printer, either, so leaving us a diagram and telling us to print it out is a copout. Otherwise, I am very satisfied with this signal generator. I have been using it, with an oscilloscope, to test power ripple filters and audio bandpass and notch filters used by ham radio operators. Can't Beat ItReview by Frank
Best Bang for your buck. I needed an inexpensive signal generator for my test bench and the FG085 filled the bill. I have yet to use it other than test the output with a digital volt meter. It pulses the meter as expected. (Posted on 3/10/2014)
