These DVB-T dongles have new-found popularity since it was discovered they can be used as very inexpensive software defined radios (SDR). North American standard is ATSC, not DVB-T, so this will not work in North America for OTA video reception. However, this can be used anywhere for SDR, including in North America, and of course can also be used for DVB-T reception where available.
Since these contain an Fiticomm FC0013 tuner IC they have a tunable range of about 22-1100MHz. They have BAV99 (labelled A7t) for ESD protection on the antenna input, so there is less need to worry about burning out your tuner than with other cut-rate devices.
The connector type on the antenna and USB board is PAL TV aerial (IEC-169-2)
